Every Saturday at 10:15, Mom had the coffee gang over to our house. Betty was one of the gang, We went over to your home alit because Mom & Dad enjoyed playing cards with Betty & Bill. They are all together now, having coffee & playing cards together. She had a long good life. Praying for your family.. JoAn Mattingly Lindfors

Betty was a member of the ladies' Coffee ☕ Club. Mom (Marlys Mattingly) had coffee often on Saturday morning since she worked during the week. Betty was always so nice to me (all of us kids). She and Bill would also come over together for the evening coffees. We kids were classmates with their children: Jim (Betty), Vickie (Jane&JoAn), Mark (Hubert/Matt), so we were at some functions together, but we had different interests. Betty was a kind person that will be missed. My husband, Hal, worked with Bill at the Salina Journal. (Jane Mattingly Kelley Peterson)

When I came here to teach and coach in 1983, Red and Betty were doing a night shift as custodians at the high school. Since they were both there at the same time, you can imagine the good-natured teasing that this young, dumb coach got from both of them. She was such a fun-loving sweetheart. I wish you all peace and recall your good memories as I am right now while I smile as I am typing these comments. Loved Betty!
