My early memories of Faye were when Carl and I first moved into Lindsborg and there she was sitting in her front yard ready to share a little town history with us. Later getting to know her again at Bethany Home, I surely enjoyed her positive and caring ways. I am saddened to know of her passing and miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was very good friends with Danny. While he was in Vietnam, I would send him dried fruit and socks. I would visit Mr and Mrs Lindholm quite often before Danny was killed. They were always so nice to me. I lost touch with them after I got married. I’m so sorry for your lose.

Our aunt Faye was the twin sister of my Mom, Joy (Kilbride). My Aunt was a bubbly and fun Aunt. Her door was always open. I used to stay at her house when we came from NY to visit in the summers. Her and Uncle Vic would pile Charlene, Dan, Jerry, me and what other nieces and nephews in the car and take us for an A & W root beer.
Every summer we came to Kansas, they would take us to Coronado Heights for a picnic. You could see for miles. Coming from NYC and a lot of buildings, it was amazing.
Faye was wonderful to my Mom and I. When I came from NY to see my Mom at the Marquette Nursing Home, Faye would always make a point to be there the last day of my visit so my Mom was not alone when I said a tearful goodbye.
I was fortunate to see her, at Bethany, on my last visit and will miss her upbeat attitude. Denise and Dan

Dear Charlene, Jarold and Family,
So sorry to hear about Faye. Wanted you to know of our affection for your Mother. As you well know, she will be remembered for being a most wonderful person on every level, with whomever she came into contact with during her long life. We appreciate her loving support for Vic throughout their marriage and all the close interactions that she had with her very large family. We wish we could attend the services, but are in Arizona and won't be returning until mid March.
Our Love to You All,
Steve & Karen Schafer

Sorry to hear of Faye's death. She was important to your family. I called her when I received the Silver Beaver award from Longs Peak Council in 2000 and thanked her for helping to instill the Scouting values in me. When our church was recently talking about the values of our congregation, the pastor asked what we considered our personal values to be. I immediately thought of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law, which I can still recite to this day. I got my Eagle in 1963 in Troop 120 and am proudly still an EAGLE SCOUT. Gaylen Williams.
