I'm saddened to have looked Virginia up and found that she has passed. I can't remember ever meeting her children. Was close to Margaret Jean and her family as I spent many summers with Uncle Carl. My dad was Alvin Johnson, cousin to Virginia, Vivian, Shirley and Margaret Jean. My husband and I visited with Virginia when we went to Lindsborg a few years back. I was impressed with the pictures she had on her wall. One of them was the picture of my grandma Johnson with her 1st husband. I have a picture of her taken that same day but without him. Learned from her that this was their wedding day.

I continue to miss this lovely lady. I treasure the time I was able to spend with her and getting to know her. When the the surrey takes off, Chapel is on and other times I do see her smiling face!
You are still in my thoughts and prayers.

I have just read of Virginia's passing. She was my buddy as I visited my hospice friends at Bethany Home. I am saddened by her death.
We could laugh, tease and reminisce about what we considered the "good old Days".
I will miss her smile and friendship.
She was so proud to tell me of her Father's hamburger cafe in McPherson.
She was so proud of her sons, daughters (as she referred to them to me), grandchildren and greats, but I am sure you know that.
Rest in peace, my friend, rest.....
Joy Carlson, Kindred Hospice volunteer
