Obituary of Wanda Jean Nelson

Wanda Jean Nelson,70, of Lindsborg passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Hospice House in Hutchinson, KS.  Wanda was born September 27, 1947 in Topeka, KS. She is the daughter of the late Keith Butterfield and Elaine (Smith) Butterfield. 

Wanda worked as an Education auditor for the State of Kansas.

Survivors include her mother, Elaine; sons, Sean (Lori) Nelson, of Lindsborg and Kevin Nelson, of Wichita, KS; sisters, Marsha Butterfield and Bev (Michael) Campbell, both of Topeka, KS; brothers, Keith (Becky) Butterfield, of Tulsa, OK and Stanley (Debbie) Butterfield, of Westphalia, KS; as well as grandchildren, Per and Torsten Nelson and Joshua and Paige Nelson.

Wanda was preceded in death by her father.

Cremation has been chosen.  A memorial service will be held  on Saturday, November 18 at 1:30 p.m. at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, with Mike Reith, officiating.  A scattering ceremony will be held at Coronado Heights following the memorial service. A time of fellowship, at Bethany Lutheran Church, will follow the scattering ceremony.
