As a member of Great Bend Community Theatre for many years, I first met Wanda when she cast me in a play she was directing. Since then, I shared the stage numerous times with her. My favorite memory was the play, "The Trip to Bountiful". She played "Mother Watts, and I played her son "Ludie". It was a wonderful experience, and from that time on she was affectionately known to me as simply "Ma Nelson". Until we ultimately lost contact in recent years, she always acknowledged my birthday, and I would always send her a card on Mother's Day. It is said "A loved one never dies...but lives on in our hearts. Ma Nelson will always be a part of me, and certainly lives on in my fond memories and lovingly in my heart.❤ Paul Martin

The Nelson family and loved ones of Ms. Wanda have my deepest sympathy. Revelations 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalms 34:18 The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences.

I'm so sorry to hear of Wanda's passing. Although I didn't have the opportunity to be around her in later years, I have fond memories of her as a classmate. Always good at whatever she attempted and pleasant to be around. May she rest in peace.

Kevin and Sean and other family of Wanda,
I'm sure that Wanda is already up with our Lord. I enjoyed working with her as auditors at KSDE. She was so proud of you boys and also her missionary work and loved to talk about both. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all during this time of sorrow.
