Obituary of Chris A. Abercrombie
Chris A. Abercrombie,68, of Lindsborg passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Bethany Home. Chris was born January 24, 1949 in Lindsborg, KS to the late Chester A. and the late Doris Ann (Necomer) Abercrombie.
Chris was an Eagle Scout and a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. A former radio personality and advertising executive, since moving back to Lindsborg he was a member of the Hyllningsfest Committee and served as President of the Smoky Valley Historical Association Board of Directors, leading the effort to secure funds for the renovation of Coronado Heights
Survivors include his brother: James Abercrombie, and his wife Deborah, of Berryville, VA; sister: Diane Estes of Omaha, NE; niece, Kristin Barben; and niece, Elicia Corbett; nephew, James Abercrombie; as well as 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
Cremation has been selected. A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with Rev. Amy Truhe officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery following the memorial.
