Donald Hubert Miller, 92, of Lindsborg, died October 14, 2010. He was born August 5, 1918, the son of Hubert and Alma (Nelson) Miller, in Smolan, Kansas. Donald was a Lindsborg resident since 1992, moving from Chapman, KS. He was a teacher and administrator, employed by the Chapman School District. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, American Legion of Chapman, Kansas Teachers' Hall of Fame, Honorary Member of FFA, Kansas Retired Teachers' Association, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and a Life Member of NEA. On December 23, 1968, he married Marian Walquist at Kansas City, Kansas, she passed away in 2008. Survivors include his sister, Louise and husband Jim Nuberg of Kansas City, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, KS. A private burial will be held at Smolan Cemetery, Smolan, KS. Memorials may be designated for Messiah Lutheran Church, Bethany Home, or Don Miller Bethany College Scholarship in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N Washington Street P. O. Box 386 Lindsborg, KS. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm with family present from 6-7 pm Sunday at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. Online Condolences at www.christiansfuneralhome.com.
