Lucille was a presence in our lives as a close relation to my mother, Margaret Hawkinson Coleman. We visited her on our infrequent visits to Lindsborg. Her faithfulness singing the Messiah reminded us of Grandfather Oliver Hawkinson who found his bride Hulda at Messiah rehearsals. Mother and my brother John and I attended the performance of the Messiah at Carnegie Hall in New York and enjoyed seeing Lucille then. She will be missed by my family.

We were so sorry to hear of Lucille's death. Lucille was very dear to us. When we lived in Lindsborg during Bethany College days, we were able to visit with her. When we lived in Lindsborg in the late 80's we became reacquainted with Chuck's distant cousins Lucille & Hazel. Aunt Telia & Aunt Hannah Holmquist were Chuck's sponsors when he was baptized at the foot of his mother's,( Hannah) Casket. We always felt a closeness to the "Hawkinson's" family. We were privileged to have gotten to know Lucille and enjoyed our visits with her. She was always so kind and considerate. May the Lord give you His strength and comfort during these days. Your cousins, Marge & Chuck
