Obituary of Karen Kenney

Karen Kay Kenney, 56, of Lindsborg, passed away November 2, 2013. She was born October 16, 1957, the daughter of Wallace Neal and Dorothy (Coleman) Peterson in Lindsborg, KS. Her strength, talent, and intellect led her to embark in multiple studies. Successful leadership in many workplaces strengthened by her Master's in Human Resources. Her remarkable talent took many forms, crafts, singing, dancing, skiing, teaching, and gracefully playing the piano and organ. Her strength carried her through five years of battling cancer. She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace Neal Peterson. Karen leaves behind many loved ones including her sons: Logan McNett of Lindsborg, Legend Kenney of Michigan, mother, Dorothy Peterson of Lindsborg, brother, Mike Peterson of Lindsborg, sisters: Judy Rodine of Lindsborg, twin sister, Kristin Thomas of Salina, Susan Peterson of Belle Plaine, KS, grandson, Carter Neal McNett, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 6, from 4-7 p.m. at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 7, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
