Kris and family, it was a pleasure to visit and pray with Karen as her hospice chaplain. I was hoping to make it to her service and get to meet you, but will not be able to be there. Please know that you are all in our prayers during these difficult days.

I am saddened by this news as Karen was a beautiful woman in every aspect of her life. I worked with Karen at Flint Hills Care Center (we shared an office) and enjoyed working with her, sharing stories with her and getting to know her and her family. I heard from her a year or so ago (we had lost touch for a while) and she was still just so bubbly despite everything she had gone through. She lived life to the fullest. I am blessed to have known her for the short time I did. I makes me smile to think of her sitting next to the Lord and smiling that beautiful smile! My prayers and thoughts are with all of you!

To all of Karen's family, It has been many years since I have seen Karen. She and Kris ran around with my sister, Linnea. That's how I got to know her. She later played the piano at my first wedding.(Lots of Cat Stevens songs) As a young woman, she was just alot of fun. It sounds like she continued that the rest of her life. I'll be sure to let Linnea know about her death. I am so sorry that she had to fight such an awful illness for so long. My thoughts are with all of you. Laraine.
