Obituary of Irene Johnson

Irene Lucille Johnson, 93, of Marquette, passed away September 7, 2012. She was born August 12, 1919, the daughter of Oscar and Edna (Krig) Johnson in Marquette, KS. Irene was a mother and a homemaker, and a member of Elim Lutheran Church. She married Archie Johnson on June 18, 1940, in Marquette, KS. He passed away September 20, 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, sister, Rosalie Johnson, and granddaughter, Shana Schultz. Irene is survived by her daughters: Doris (Wayne) Schultz of Marquette, Carol Johnson of Chattanooga, TN, Denise (Mike) Reynolds of Kingwood, TX, sisters: Helene Reissig of Lindsborg, Thelma Strom of Leavenworth, brother, Eldon (Twila) Johnson of Pflugerville, TX, 8 grandchildren: Wade Schultz, Phil (Jessee) Spohn, Dorine (Jeff) Cunningham, Micheal (Judy) Spohn, Richard Brock, Christopher "CW" Brock and fiancee Tisha, Alison Reynolds and fiance Steve, and Lindsey Reynolds, 11 great-grandchildren: Meggan (Tyson) Koenig, Tyler Spohn, Sarah Spohn, Lauren Spohn, Hannah Brock, Rylee Cunningham, Ryenne Cunningham, Mackenzie Richardson, Cole Brock, Taylor Richardson, and Tansley'An Brock, 2 great-great-grandchildren: Grayson Koenig and Kenna Koenig Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7pm at Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at Elim Lutheran Church, with burial following at Marquette Lutheran Cemetery.
