Sending my condolences. Neighbour to Englunds back in 1960s. I was age 2? Parents spoke highly of your family. Recognized Mr Englund as He came to visit SIUC in 2008? Keep His legacy alive in your hearts, souls, and minds. Prayers. Karen McNeely McMinn Carbondale Illinois.

I will never forget how quickly Dr. Englund helped me put my fears of being able to understand the fundamentals of chemistry aside. Not only was he entertaining in class, he was the most articulate instructor I ever had.

Joyce and Family. Dr Englund was my first experience with a college professor. He walked into the classroom and literally made the place smoke! He also was one of our coffee regulars at the Cookery. He was a great person, I loved to sit and talk to him. Lindsborg won't be the same. Peace to you all. Sally Scott

Joyce - I have fond memories of my association with Chuck - he was chief chemist at Wilson Labs in Salina during the 1990-1991 time frame. I hired him on recommendation of Dave Burnett, one of his graduates. Chuck was a fine analytical chemist, a fun guy to be around and a joy as a friend. Ruth and I share your loss and extend our memories a d sympathy.

Uncle Chuck had a significant impact on so many people...I have run into his former students in airports, overseas, and at a neighborhood swim meet. All of them have fond memories of him. God bless you all.

He was the ultimate teacher & man. I'll never forget his patience with me when I took Chemistry back in 1978... I really did learn lots! Joyce, my deepest sympathy. I remember you as a fun, compassionate couple who helped make being a Bethany "Swede" such a wonderful experience. I pray he didn't suffer too much.

I am so sorry to hear this news! I remember Chuck and my mom going off to New Cambria all those Sunday mornings when we were visiting Kansas. They were two of a kind, and quite a pair!! Chuck you will be missed. I will miss seeing you out in your garden, planting some lovely new flowers. Joyce, my thoughts are with you at this time.
