Lyle Arnold Swisher, 92, of Lindsborg, formerly of Gypsum, died Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Lindsborg Community Hospital after a battle with Covid. Lyle was born November 11, 1928 in Gypsum, KS to the late Thomas and Carrie (Andrew) Swisher.
Lyle was a graduate of Gypsum High School. He married the love of his life, Avonne Watson Montgomery in Gypsum, KS on May 11, 1973. Lyle was a lifelong farmer in the Gypsum area. He was a proud member for the First Baptist Church, Gypsum, KS and loved his Lord dearly.
He is survived by his daughters: Ann McCormick (James) of Salina, KS, Jane Hutzler (Chris) of Plano, TX, and Rita Rea Suppes (Glen) of Lindsborg, KS; son: Lee Montgomery (Susan Weis) of Salina, KS; as well as nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one great grandson.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11 at Gypsum Cemetery in Gypsum, KS with Chaplain Phillip Hett officiating. .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Home or to Lindsborg Community Hospital. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
