To the family of Anita Lysell, my sincere condolences on the her passing. Although I never met Anita, many people on the Friends of the Wichita Art Museum board knew, loved and respected her. Anita was a Distinguished Service Honoree of the Friends, a long time member and extremely active in its various activities. I am told she had a pleasing smile, helpful attitude and had spot-on observation skills.
The FWAM will be making a contribution to its Endowment in Anita's name.

We will miss you, Anita. It was always such fun to compare travel experiences. We had lots of fun at WAM events and sorting books. Thinking of John, a good man, and remembering you with fondness. Robert Bell

Anita and John were a couple I first met on a Friends of the Wichita Art Museum trip. Later, we were on the Friends board and participated in the annual book sale which was part of the Art and Book event. Anita was an upbeat person and volunteer along with John. They were on a bus trip we took for our 50th anniversary and John recognized a fellow worker from Boeing, Albert Shinn. I had tutored Albert's wife Carol in reading years ago. They joined us in Seattle for a boat excursion.
Gordon joins me in sending condolences to John, Lori and family. We met Lori at John and Anita's 50th wedding anniversary at Aldersgate Methodist Church. We had mutual friends there.

I was so saddened to hear of Anita’s passing. My sympathies to John and Lori. I first met Anita in children’s work at St. Paul’s. We were also teachers and ran into each other at 259 schools. It was always nice to see Anita. She was so happy, welcoming, and positive. I see that we had more in common that we did not get to explore - our Scandinavian heritage. Anita was lovely and will be missed by many. Marilyn McFadden

I was a classmate of Anita ‘s, and growing up we only lived a block from one another and spent lots of time together. We were very good friends and we decided one night to cook pizza for our soon to be spouses. I probably should say that a piece of cardboard would’ve been better than how the pizza turned out! She was a dear lifelong friend and I send my love and prayers to her family.
