Obituary of Norma Jeanne Ericson

Norma Jeanne Ericson, 89, of Marquette passed away Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Riverview Estates, Marquette. Norma was born April 21, 1931 in Marquette, KS to the late Melvin and Viola (Seleen) Johnson. She graduated from Marquette High School in 1949.
Norma married Paul (Bud) Ericson on August 26, 1951. Bud passed away February 2, 2003. She was a wife and homemaker. Norma was a member of Elim Lutheran Church.
Norma was a very kind and loving person. She was always there for you when you needed her. She enjoyed playing bingo and going out to eat with her sister, Mary Borg. She lived most of her life in Lindsborg. She became an expert packer and mover, having lived in 7 or 8 homes in Lindsborg, many of which were built by her husband, Bud.
She is survived by her son: Stephen C. Ericson (Sonja) of Aurora, CO; daughter: Susan D. Carlson of Lindsborg, KS; grandchildren: Alicia Ericson, Brett Ericson, Carmen Daniel (Schan), Cameron Carlson, and Candace Carlson; as well as great grandchildren: Aubrey and Logan Daniel.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Mary Borg. She was a special lady and will be sorely missed by many.
Visitation will be at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2020.
A private family graveside service will be held at Smoky Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Elim Lutheran Church, Smoky Hill Cemetery, or to Riverview Estates. Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
