Obituary of Beth Curchy

     Beth Curchy, 88, of Salina, passed away peacefully November 24, 2019.

     Beth was born in Emporia, Kansas, September 21, 1931 to Roe and Edith Collins. She married Joe Curchy from New Jersey on April 19, 1952.

     Survivors are a daughter, Debra (Matt) Mattingly of Florida, and children Miranda (Jeremy), Kurt (Nichole), David (Cindy) Curchy of Missouri, and their children Tara, Shestin (Tyler) and Abby (Cory) ; Stefani (Randy) Dreiling of Kansas, children Blake Ashley (Clint), Grant, Nate (Alexa).  Also brother Larry (June) Collins of Emporia, children Leigh Ann, Gus and Mitch

     Preceding her in death were Beth’s parents, spouse, and a nephew.

     Beth loved smiles, hugs, telling jokes, and laughter. She shared these qualities with family, friends, and strangers. Beth enjoyed playing Bridge, having a good cup of coffee, and reading a great book.  She attended Bethany Lutheran Church and loved participating in the church choir, and playing the bells. She also taught Sunday School.

     Beth was active in the Lindsborg community during her life there, and never met a stranger.  We will miss our mom, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.

     Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.

     Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with Pastor Jim Strasen, officiating. Private family burial at Elmwood Cemetery will precede services.

     Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, Kindred Hospice, or the animal charity of the donor’s choice.  Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Christians, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
