Obituary of Herb LaMar
Herbert Harry LaMar, 81, of Marquette passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Sandstone Heights, Little River, KS. Herbert was born August 19, 1938 in Oakley, KS to the late Elmer and Doris (Johnstone) LaMar.
Herb was a high school graduate and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in Physical Education. He worked as a barber and as a teacher and coach. He married his wife Billie on February 14, 2005 in Marquette.
He is survived by his wife: Billie J LaMar; sons: Barry LaMar (Tina), Brian LaMar (Ginger), Bryce LaMar, and Brent LaMar (Lori); step son, Mike Teeter; 8 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 step great grandchildren.
Herb is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Harvey LaMar; a step son; and a step grandson.
Family will receive friends at a reception at The Ranch House, 109 N. Washington, Marquette, KS, starting at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 6.
Cremation has been chosen, A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, September 7 at Russell Cemetery, Russell, KS.
