Obituary of Judy Rodine

Judith N. “Judy” Rodine, age 74, of Salina passed away, Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Salina Regional Health Center.  Judy was born April 17, 1945 in Salina, KS. She is the daughter of the late Harry Coleman and Dorothy (Osborn) Peterson.  After the death of her father, Judy was adopted and raised by her dad, Wallace “Wally” Peterson.  She married Gary Rodine on April 25, 1964 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. 

Judy was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Salina Twirlers.

She is survived by her mother: Dorothy Peterson, of Lindsborg; daughter: Lisa Speer (Mark) of Salina, son: Darren Rodine of Salina; sisters: Kris Thomas (Clint) of Salina, and Susan Rothgub (Darrin) of Belle Plaine, KS; brother: Mike Peterson (Roberta) of Lindsborg, KS; as well as grandchildren:  Ethan and Aidan Speer.

Judy is preceded in death by her fathers; husband, Gary; and her sister Karen Kenney.

Visitation will be Friday, July 5 from 10:30 am to 11:00 a.m. at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Friday, July 5 at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, with Pastor Dean Apel officiating.  Private family burial will follow at Mission Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salina Animal Shelter or to the Lupus Foundation of America.  Memorials may be sent in care of Crick-Christians Funeral Home.
