Obituary of Don Sims

Donald Edward “Don” Sims, 63, of Lindsborg passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at home in rural Bridgeport.  Donald was born January 23, 1956 in Salina, KS to the late John Edward Sims and Lena Bell (Becker) Sims.  . 

Don married Terrica Ringquist on May 24, 1975. He worked as a pumper for Scotts Well Service and Hartman Oil.  He was then the owner and operator of Don Sims’ Oil.

He is survived by his mother: Lena Bell (Becker) Sims; wife: Terrica (Ringquist) Sims; sons: Lynn Sims (Kelsey) of Lindsborg, KS, and Michael Sims of Salina, KS; as well as 6 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father; and sister: Patricia Shuttleworth.

Cremation has been chosen.  A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 26 at Bridgeport Cemetery, Bridgeport, KS.
