Obituary of Roger Rex Kugler
Roger Rex Kugler, 69, of Lindsborg passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019. Roger was born August 12, 1949 in Superior, NE to Rex and Wilma (Brown) Kugler.
Roger was a United States Army veteran and he was awarded the Purple Heart during his service. He worked as a farmer and all around handyman. Roger was an adamant fisherman. He was also a member of the VFW in Smith Center, the American Legion Post #140, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
He is survived by his wife: Mary Ann( Yates) Kugler , daughter: Nicole Nichols (Conley) ; son: Ryan Kugler; step daughters: Sonja Goodwin (Winslow) and Heather Riekeman (Jeremy); sister: Vicki Kugler; brothers: Robert Kugler, and Randy Kugler; grandchildren: Brenton Nichols (Lacey), Isaac Nichols, Elias Nichols, Stone Nichols, Zeke Nichols, Asher Nichols, Lydia Nichols, Kaleb Kugler, Kami Kugler, Jesse Goodwin, Dalton Goodwin, Logan Riekeman, and Bryce Riekeman; as well as great grandchildren: Rooney Nichols, Eisley Nichols, Daley Nichols, Copper Nichols, and Noble Nichols.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, March 7 at Evangelical Covenant Church, 102 S. Washington, Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Darrel Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Manhattan on Thursday, March 7 at 1:00 pm.
