Rode our bikes to Salina one day. Wind at our backs. Must have been 20 mph at least. Hardly had to peddle at all. Just coasting with the wind. We realized our mistake when we turned around. We spent hours fighting our way back. Guessing we were about 12 or 13 then. I remember him as a burley, tough kid. Somebody that would always have your back. Not at all afraid to stand his ground. I really liked that about him. Sorry to read of his passing.
