Obituary of L. Ellen Carlson

L. Ellen Parli Carlson, 91, died September 23, 2018 at Dignity Home Care in Salina, Kansas.

Born in Ellsworth, Kansas, on Feb. 13, 1927, she married Edwin Carlson on March 31, 1952 in Downs, Kansas. They lived and farmed in the Freemount community outside of Lindsborg, Kansas for 50-plus years. Edwin preceded her in death in May 2008.

The daughter of Grant and Frances (Brumbaugh) Parli, Ellen was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Joyce Haddock, Kleila Hammett, Dorothy Heidrick and Judith Gay Parli.

Survivors include her daughter, Kleila, of Kansas City, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at Freemount Lutheran Cemetery, Saturday, October 20 at 10 a.m. There will be a Celebration of Life following at the Ol Stuga in Lindsborg.
