Obituary of Helen L. Hammack

Helen L. Snyder (Lemonds) Hammack, 81, of Marquette died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Riverview. Helen was born January 29, 1937 in Norton County, KS to the late Forrest Eugene and Mildred (Schooler) Snyder.  She was the wife of Herbert Hammack. Helen was a Med Aide and a lifelong caregiver for others.  She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

 

She is survived by daughters: Mary (Lemonds) Wolff of Hutchinson, KS, Agnes (Beach) (Leo) Linaweaver of Zwolle, LA, and Patty (Gary) Hines of Marion, OH; sons: Donald Lemonds of Hutchinson, KS, and  L.D. (Angie) Lemonds of Hutchinson, KS;  sisters: Mary Walker of Marquette, KS, Leora (Wayne) Horner of Little River, KS, LaVeta Spargo of Marquette, KS, Marlene Wymore of Waco, TX, and Ila (Ellis) Mittan of Benkelman, NE; brothers: Dean Snyder of White House, TX, Glenn (Lucy) Snyder of Great Bend, KS, Darrell Snyder of LaCrosse, KS, Allen Snyder of McPherson, KS, and Dale (Ann) Snyder of LaCrosse, KS;  as well as 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

 

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Herb; sister, Wilma Snyder; daughter, Margaret Gray; son, Charles Lemonds, Jr., and granddaughter, Makisha Lemonds.

 

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 11 at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS with Pastor Katherine Kolodziejczyk officiating. 

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverview Estates. Memorial contributions may be sent in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
