Obituary of Jane Ann Nelson

Jane Ann Nelson, 69, of Lindsborg, KS passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her home.  Jane was born May 30, 1949 in Hutchinson, KS to the late Frank and Lynn (Cunday) Buettner.  She married Leland Nelson on June 4, 1972 in Great Bend, KS. 

 

Jane was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Jane was a registered nurse and worked for many years at Bethany Home as the Director of Nursing and a floor nurse.

 

She is survived by her husband: Leland Nelson, of the home; daughters: Kate (Darrell) Cooper of Lindsborg, KS, Megan (Jared) Nelson-Becker of Manhattan, KS, and Natalie Nelson of Lindsborg, KS;  brothers: Jack (April) Buettner of Leawood, KS, and John (Cindy) Buettner of Shawnee Mission, KS; as well as grandchildren, Immanuel, Judah, Jonathan, and Anastasia Cooper.

 

Jane is preceded in death by her parents.

 

Visitation will be Friday, July 13 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.

 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, July 14 at Bethany Lutheran Church, with Chaplain Phillip Hett officiating.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County or Bethany Home. Memorials may be sent in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
