Obituary of Muriel Writer

Muriel Writer, 97, of McPherson passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at McPherson Memorial Hospital.  Muriel was born August 22, 1920 in Roxbury, KS. She is the daughter of the late William and Minnie (Schultz) Keagle. 

Muriel worked as a telephone operator and bookkeeper.  She was the widow of Edward Writer.

She is survived by her son: James (Kathy) Writer of Gypsum, KS; daughter: Mary (Tim) Hofstetter of Corpus Christi, TX; as well as 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 6 step great grandchildren.

Muriel is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 8 brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 28 from 5-7PM at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg.

The funeral will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 29 at Roxbury United Parish, 110 W South, Roxbury, KS with Pastor Nancy Modin officiating.  Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery following the funeral.
