Bette Mae Sippel, 93, of Lindsborg, KS passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Linn Community Nursing Home.  Bette was born September 6, 1924 in Oilton, OK to the late Raymond Albert and Elsie Mae (Ward) Makley. 

 

Bette was a school teacher and school secretary.  She was the wife of Verlin E. Sippel. Additionally, Bette was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, and she helped cook for the Commercial Club monthly meals at the church.

 

She is survived by her daughter: Nancy Stout, of Lindsborg; sons: Terry (Sandra) Sippel, of Cottonwood Falls, KS, and Allen (Jeanne) Sippel, of Sutton, NE;  as well as grandchildren, Michelle(Rob), Travis (Megan) and family, Stacy (John) and family, and Scott..

 

Bette is preceded in death by her parents, husband Verlin Sippel, and brother Bill Makley.

 

Visitation will be Friday, April 27 from 5-7PM at Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.

 

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, April 28 at Christians Funeral Home, with Pastor Nancy Crowl officiating.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Linn Community Nursing Home or McPherson Animal Shelter, in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
