Obituary of Eva May Ogan

Please share a memory of Eva to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Eva May Ogan, 80, of Lindsborg, passed away January 18, 2018 at Salina Regional Health Center.  She was born on March 14, 1937 in Vernal, Utah to Guss Rector Duncan, Sr. and Katherine (Steele) Sawyer.

Eva worked hard and was a person of many talents. One of which was repairing clocks. She owned and operated The Clock Shop in Salina, KS for a number of years, while maintaining other jobs to make sure that she was able to provide for herself and her family.

Eva was passionate about both softball and baseball. She loved watching baseball, almost as much as she enjoyed playing softball. She played softball until she was in her fifties. She was a great pitcher, and would even show her skills off occasionally into her 70's. During her years of playing softball in Salina, her daughter Kathy was the catcher. They enjoyed many years of playing together.  She was delighted that both of her great grandchildren played the sport as well.

Survivors include granddaughter, Mandy Smith (Jason) of Lindsborg, KS; grandson, Brett Crane of Orlando, FL; great grandchildren, Blake and Madison; brother, Stanley Jay Duncan of Endicott, Washington; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kathy (Ogan) Crane; two sisters, and three brothers.

Cremation has been chosen, a graveside memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, with Bishop Robert Brunner, officiating
