Dear Lois and family,
We were so saddened to learn of Irvin's passing and we pray for comfort and hope for your entire family. May the love of family and friends give you comfort and may the love of God give you peace and hope.
Irvin played such a large part in my professional career at Smoky Valley High School. I am forever grateful to him. He oversaw many changes in USD 400 and orchestrated the district through many rough times. We are better for his leadership!
I loved having his daughter, Dee, as a friend and colleague, and having some of his grandchildren in class. I am so thankful for their hard work...they were such fantastic math and physics students and have gone on to such promising careers.
And I am thankful to have known you. You were always the gracious one, the one who stood quietly on the sidelines in support of your husband. May he rest in peace.
Love,
Leon and Judy Burch

Lois and family,
I just wanted to leave a note. Irvin Myers made quite an impact on me as teacher and superintendent back in Woodston, Kansas. Also, he was encouraging as a musician and choir director at our church when I was a young girl.
I also appreciated your friendship with my Aunt Marjorie when she was living in Lindsborg.
Now, I'm praying for you and the loss you are going through.
With love,
Patsy (Bartholomew) Redden

Irvin Meyers was my first and only teaching interview. In 1976, he hired me as the PE teacher at Jay Shideler Jr. High. I remained in the district for 35 years, 25 teaching and 10 in administration. I am forever indebted to you Irvin. Rest In Peace.
