Aunt Florence used to stand on the porch in her house dress with Uncle Everett and welcome us with her grin. My family and I are blessed to have great memories of our visits to "the farm" ranging from tornado warnings to holiday meals and singing around the piano. The cookies, homemade ice cream, iced tea and coffee were special and expressed her love for those around her. She worked endlessly to make sure everything was taken care of. Her care of Melba was remarkable and her ability to get up on step with Grandma always got us going as well. She was the last of that generation in the Eklund family and will be missed, but fondly remembered by Larry, Celia, James, and Rob as well as many others.
