Although I have not seen Sarah in many many years she will always have a special place in my heart.
In 1982 I had the privilege of being part of the Drescher family for one year when I came to the USA as an exchange student from Italy. My year In Great Bend turned out to be an amazing life-changing experience. To this day I really believe it was thanks to the support I received from all the members of the Drescher family that I had such a great experience!
Sarah and Larry were my acquired "American Parents" that treated me like their own son. I remember Sarah for her energy and constant positive attitude, in her flower-shop and in the house on Forest Ave.
I will never forget that out of all the Italian words she could have learned from me she decided to stick to "stuzzicadente" (toothpick) and she would repeat it over and over until she was able to say it with a perfect Italian accent! :-)
Thank you Sarah, Larry and the rest of the Drescher gang!
