Pastor, a faithful follower of Jesus and leader of First Baptist, McPherson, helped to form my first foundations in my Christian walk with his teaching, preaching, and by his daily walk with the Lord always with enthusiasm. His effectiveness as a leader carried throughout the church into the laiety impacting my life with a solid Biblical foundation and relationships and memories that I still treasure to this day. My prayers for peace and comfort in your time of grief. In Christian love, Rita Levens Cooper.

Dear Mark and family,
So happy your Dad got to be on the earth as long as he did ... but I know it's still sad to loose our parents ... been through that. May God bless and comfort each of your family members as you recall precious memories, and in the knowledge that he lives on with his heavenly Father, who he devoted his life to. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Love ya,
Louie :0)

Our hearts break for Edythe and family at the loss of our dear Howard. But, we feel such joy that he is with his Father in Heaven. We will miss Howard's wit, humor and wisdom. But we also rejoice in the continued friendship of his beloved Edythe, who is a vision of inspiration to those of us who have known and loved this couple. We are blessed to have shared the life of this dear man. God bless each of you.

Lord God,
You chose our brother Howard to serve your people as a minister and to share the joys and burdens of their lives.
Look with mercy on him and give him the reward of his labors,
the fullness of life promised to those who preach your holy Gospel.Through Christ our Lord.

I grew up in the First Baptist Church where Howard was the pastor. I have many fond memories of him and Edyth, and my parents were very close friends with them. He was also the minister that married us in 1971. We were saddened to hear of his passing, but he lived a long and full life and we will treasure our memories of him. Thoughts and prayers are with all of the family.
Sincerely
Larry and Alana Schafer
