Marty Ray Jimerson, 59, passed away Wednesday, November 8th, at his home in Marquette.
He was born January 16th, 1957 to Charles (Chuck) and Jean Jimerson at the Lindsborg Hospital, the first baby of the year.
Marty attended K-12 schools in Marquette. He married Charlene Lyons, March 23rd, 1974.
Survivors: daughter, Mandy (Doug) Kutina and son Chad Jimerson; grandchildren, Stasha and Cross Jimerson, Erin, Brooklyn, and Austin Kutina, mother, Jean Nelson, step-father, Donald Nelson, brothers, Randy (Rosa) Jimerson, Deryl (Christy) Jimerson, sister, Paula (Mike) Best, step-sisters, Brenda Nelson and Shari Geren, many nieces and nephews, and his best friend and companion, Luke, his dog.
Marty was preceded in death by his son Michael Dean, father, Charles (Chuck) Jimerson, wife, Charlene Jimerson, step-sister, Edie Gustus, his grandparents, Paul and Ruth Jader and Charley and Nancy Jimerson.
He went to work in the Oil Fields at age 16 and worked many jobs including Caterpillar in Salina, Detroit Diesel and later had his own business, Road Ranger Diesel Mechanic.
Marty loved searching for arrowheads and other Indian Artifacts. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Visitation, Monday, November 14th, 5-7 pm at Valley Community Church, Marquette. Funeral service Tuesday November 15th, 10:00 am at the church.
