Donald Lee Hawk, 78, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016 at Lindsborg Community Hospital. He was born on Sept. 14, 1938 to Ralph and Leona (Youngquist) Hawk in Lindsborg, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Maj-Britt and sons John Hawk and David Hawk (Svetlana) and grandchildren Eric (Carmen), Briton, Michael and Julia Hawk. Preceding him in death were his parents and his sister Lois and brother-in-law, Carl Julius of Salina.
Don served as a Lutheran Pastor in San Francisco and Kansas City before becoming the Chaplain at Bethany Home in Lindsborg. He ministered to the residents for 24 years before retiring in 2006.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Salemsborg Lutheran Church on November 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM followed by fellowship and visiting with the family in the fellowship hall.
Memorials may be given to Wounded Warriors, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Salemsborg Church in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
