Virgil Eugene Pihl, 72, of Smolan, passed away September 4, 2016.
He was born October 26, 1943, the son of Ted and Lola (Rupe) Pihl in Salina, KS.
On December 2, 1962, he was united in marriage to Lucille Hendrix in Falun, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Lucy of Smolan, daughter, Sandy Reidelberger (John) of Smolan, son, Steven Pihl (Joanna Davis) of Smolan, sister, Shirley Isin (Jon) of Salina, grandchildren: Linnea Bailey (David), Amy Mapes (Cameron), Allysa Pihl, Matt Medley (Elizabeth), Kayla Davis, Greg Davis, and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, from 4-7pm with family present from 5-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Graveside service will be held Friday, September 9, at 2:00pm at Salemsborg Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association or Salemsborg Lutheran Church in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington St. PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
