Margaret Lillian Nelson, 91, of Lindsborg, passed away March 30, 2016.
She was born April 8, 1924, the daughter of Emmanuel and Verlie Emeline (Linderholm) Keding in Elko, NV.
On October 11, 1942, Margaret was united in marriage in Lindsborg, KS to Warren LaVerne Johnson Sr. He passed away December 19, 1985. On June 25, 1988, Margaret married John Nelson in Salina, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren, sisters: Vivian McCoy, Ellen Box, brother, Robert Keding, and granddaughter, Mindy Lloyd.
Margaret leaves behind many loved ones including her husband, John Nelson of Lindsborg, sons: Daryl Johnson (Kola) of Lindsborg, Dr. Warren Johnson (Becky) of Keystone, CO, daughter, Margie Lloyd of Lindsborg, step-children; Mark Nelson (Jeannie) of Albuquerque, NM, Julie Nelson (Nathan Myers) of Albuquerque, NM, Curtis Nelson (Jan) of Ellsworth, KS, brother, Willard Keding of Lindsborg, sisters: Clarice Hayes of Angier, NC, Kathryn Frantz of Lindsborg, and several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, from 5-7pm at the Bethany Home Activities Room, Lindsborg.
Private family burial will be Monday, April 4, at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg.
Memorials may be designated for Messiah Lutheran Church or Bethany Home in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
