Remembering Jan Segerhammer today. What a lovely lady and a beautiful heritage she and her husband gave to family and friends. So glad we had a short visit with her at Bethany Home and witnessed that she was a real trooper even to the closing of her time here on earth. We know where she is celebrating Christmas this year and a reunion with her husband. Praying for the family during this season of missing her presence here.
Sincere sympathy,
The Robinson Family

We loved her, too. She made many lovely contributions to this world with her personal and musical gifts. It was neat to have her in our extended family and wonderful that she brought three lovely daughters into the world. We'll honor her memory with fond remembrances and thanks to God for her life. She will be missed and remembered.
With sympathy and love,
Linda & Family

Sixty years ago, we met Rev. Robert Segerhammar & Jan at the Hospital when two of our children were born. Jan & Marleta shared a recovery room. Jan birthed Nancy & my wife birthed Professor Dr. Byron Haney MD.
A bond was obtained immediately. We spent perhaps 20 years & many memorable times together. It was a pleasure to enjoy a meal in each others home. Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & other occasions were celebrated. At various stages of the children's maturity, we would find first one then the other, being the taller.
The Five Segerhammer family members were musicians & enjoyable to fellowship with.
Singing songs of praise with some recorded by Robert, were a pleasure.
Nancy,Carol & Sister Helen Marie were adored by our four children. Byron & Nancy stayed close all through their Hi School years.
When Rev Robert relocated to Southern Calif, we stayed in touch by phone.
It was with a heavy heart for our family when Jan informed us of Roberts passing. It seems it was only a short time after, Jan called to provide the very short & horrific passing of Nancy. Our Family was very sorrowful.
Marleta & I traveled to Southern California to be with Jan at Nancy's memorial.
Jan was so strong under such much grief, in her loss.
In time Jan relocated. Marleta & Jan stayed in touch after Jan relocated to Lindsberg.
Jan was always upbeat & was very comfortable & in her new location.
.
Please provide our sincere condolence to Carol & Sister Helen Marie.

Carol and Helen, my sympathy to you in the loss of your virtuous mother. Your family was dear to me in my early years. Not a August 28 passes without a desire to get back together. Coincidently, or was it God's timing, I was in Modesto and went past your home church on Monday. I miss Nancy and think of her often. I would love to reconnect.
