Virgil Lee Conger, 87, of Lindsborg, KS passed away October 10, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie June (Forster) Conger; daughter, Francis Joy Bronson; granddaughter, Melody Joy Bronson; and three brothers: Bob, Norman, and Jerry. Virgil leaves behind many loved ones including his daughter; Margie Lee McKenna (Colin) of Sedan, KS; sons; Virgil Paul Conger (Cindy), Rogers, AR; and John Mark Conger, Dunwoody, GA; granddaughters, Penelope Joy Huffman and Julie Anne Biancheri; great-granddaughters: Cassandra Julienne Huffman, Alexa Joy Biancheri, and Gabriella Grace Biancheri; and a sister, Betty Baker, Colorado.
Virgil Conger and Marjorie Forster were married at Glen Elder, KS in Jan.1948. Virgil was called to preach while in the Marine Corps in North China. Virgil and Marjorie pastored 18 churches together. Virgil continued preaching, and has preached 30 services this year. He was a faithful servant of God, ministering for 67 years.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, at the Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery of WaKeeney, KS, with military honors.
