Obituary of Iladene Sue Nelson

Iladene Sue (Stalder) Nelson spent the last week surrounded by family and departed this life Saturday, June 27, 2015.
She was born April 18, 1924 in Meade, Kansas to Fredrick and Margaret (McCampbell) Stalder.
Iladene was baptized October 14, 1934, and attended schools in Meade. She attended Wichita Business College, then worked at Boeing where she met her future husband. She and Earl were married May 13, 1943. After the war, they started their family, and raised four daughters.
After moving to Lindsborg in 1976, Iladene was active in the church, gardening, swimming, and the American Legion Auxillary.
Iladene is survived by her daughters: Donetta (Gary) Clifton, Doris (Will) Edds, Erna (Rich) Schmidtberger, and Elaine (Glenn) Stark. She had 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 2, from 5-7 pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, July 3, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for Bethany Lutheran Church, Sandstone Heights, Little River, or Hospice and Home Care of Reno County in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
