Obituary of James Larry Thomas

James L. Thomas, Marquette, born September 7, 1947 in Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away June 4, 2015 at Lindsborg Community Hospital.
Jim graduated from Goddard High School in 1965. He entered the army and served in Germany from 1967-1969.
Jim married Beth Ferguson Able January 10, 1987 and they made their home in Marquette. Jim was employed by Williams Energy Services, from 1985 until his retirement in 2012.
He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, American Legion, Lions Club, and previously served on the Marquette City Council. He currently was on the board of the Marquette Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife Beth, son; Darren (Denise) Able, daughter; Tami (Larry) Malm and grandchildren: Zach and Ethan Able, Megan, Brock and Carley Malm, Evan and Brandi Kaufman, and Gage Stafford.
Visitation 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, June 8, at Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at the church.
Memorials may be designated to the church or Wounded Warriors Project in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
