To Marybeth's family - how my heart goes out to you. Marybeth was such a treasure. I am a pastor in the ELCA and Marybeth and I served on synod staffs around the same time and also served on the Board for the Division for Ministry and some predecessor boards of our church. We took several trips together and had such memorable times. I heard so much about all of you - her wonderful cousins. Actually I was just planning a trip where I was going to stop in Lindsborg and see her. How she will be missed. My prayers are with you. We give thanks for the sure and confident hope of the resurrection. A blessed season of hope, Advent. Again, my deepest sympathy.

Marybeth was a cherished colleague and friend on the Nebraska Synod staff. Her smile was eclipsed only by her patience in working with people of all ages. Maybe that smile was the clue that she was patiently waiting for the person to see a bigger picture of the church and what God was doing. Marybeth has touched many lives. She has blessed mine.

To Marybeth's family--I was sorry to hear of her death. I am a Pastor in the ELCA, serving St. Mark's in Olathe, KS. My first call was from 1988-1992 in Lincoln, NE--and that's when I got to know Marybeth. She loved God, the Church and served God's people most graciously. I'm glad my husband Fred got to stop by a few months ago to visit her at Bethany Home. Bless you Marybeth! Pastor Kris Dietzen, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Olathe, KS

Our family express to Marybeth's wonderful extended family our sincere condolences at her passing. She always celebrated her wonderful cousins and their families whenever we talked. Marybeth's light shone faithfully and constantly as she brought joy to her many ministries in the church and in the world. We will miss her. Linda and Bob Gjere and from Thomas and Arne -- her College World Series buddies from long ago
