Marney LaRay Ritter, 74, Marquette, passed away Jan. 4, 2015, at Riverview Estates.
He was born May 2, 1940, at McPherson, KS, the son of Charles A. and Ila LaMae (Anderson) Ritter.
A graduate of Marquette High School, he was united in marriage to Martha Jean Rush June 9, 1958 in McPherson, KS.
A farmer and stockman in the Marquette area, he retired from Johns Manville, McPherson, in 2002 after 17 years.
He was a member of the Marquette United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Michael Todd Graham, and siblings, Dr. Raymond Ritter, Keith Ritter, Ritha Ritter and Charlene O'Donnell.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Ritter, his four daughters, Liz (Tim) Ponting, Brenda (Todd) Graham, Penny (Ewald) Bunk, and Cindy Ritter, all of Marquette; his grandchildren, Tara (Dustin) Younger, Krista (Kelly) Dauer, Dana (JD) Manns, Ashley (Joe) DeBaere, Kyle (Carly) Hazelwood, Sgt. Kody (Sarah) Hazelwood, Eric (Ericka Faust) Mitchell, Matthew Graham, Susie (Alan) Chang and Brian (Tracy) Bunk; great-grandchildren, Trace, Avery, Peyton, Isabella, Krew, Nolan, Mea, Adrian, Beckett, Merick, Chenzi, Teigan, Illie, Gavin, Hailey and Mason.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the Marquette United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, at the Marquette United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Bever officiating. Burial will be in the Marquette Cemetery, north of town.
Memorials may be given to the Marquette United Methodist Church or Riverview Estates, both of Marquette in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington St. PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
