Robert "Bob" Eugene Edwards, 68, of Marquette, passed away December 7, 2014. He was born January 7, 1946, the son of Harry and Vera (Glover) Edwards in Haven, KS. On July 30, 1977, Bob married Sandy Hopp in Marquette, KS. He was a member of Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, William and Harry Edwards. Bob leaves behind many loved ones including his wife, Sandy, son, Eric Edwards (Mary) of Kansas City, MO, daughter, Lindsy Newton (Mark) of Salina, KS, son, Chris Edwards of Lindsborg, and sons: Robin Edwards (Valerie) of Dallas, TX, Troy Edwards (Tammi) of Junction, IL, sisters: Peggy Green of Hutchinson, Carolyn Evans of Eskridge, Sue Patterson of Hutchinson, Sally Oberle of Ellsworth, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, December 11, from 5-7 p.m. at Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 12, at Elim Lutheran Church with burial following at Marquette Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated for Elim Lutheran Church or Riverview Estates in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
