Obituary of Edna Peterson

Edna Mae Peterson, 94, of Lindsborg, passed away December 3, 2014. She was born August 14, 1920, the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Emma Lillian (Beyer) Russell in rural Galva, KS. On May 26, 1946, Edna Mae married Carl LaVerne "C.L." Peterson in McPherson, KS. C.L. passed away August 31, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Clarence Russell, sister, Arlene Russell, and granddaughter, Kristina Lyn Peterson. Edna Mae leaves behind many loved ones including her son, John Peterson (Gretchen) of Lindsborg, daughters: Ruby Buller (Lee) of Newton, Shirley Martin (James) of Topeka, brother, Chester Russell (Doris) of McPherson, grandchildren: Sara Buller of Abilene, Daniel Buller (Melissa) of Newton, Abbey Horner (Austin) of Camas, WA, Erik Peterson (Amanda) of Lindsborg, Benjamin Martin (Kasey) of Mildenhall AFB, England, and great-grandchildren: Wyatt Peterson, and Makenna Horner. Visitation will be Friday, December 5, from 4-7 pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. Private family burial will be at 10:00 am at McPherson City Cemetery, with a Memorial Service following at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 6, at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Lindsborg.
