Elnor Van Der Wege, 75, died peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014 from ALS disease. She was born August 13, 1939 in Prairie View, Kansas, the daughter of William and Martha Meyer DeBoer and stepmother, Velma DeBoer. She married John Van Der Wege, October 17, 1959 in Prairie View. Survivors include her husband, sons; Larry (Rebecca), Lindsborg and Philip (Helen), Roswell, New Mexico, daughters; Eva (Tom) Hawks, Smolan and Nancy Bolden, Lindsborg; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; a brother Robert Yenne, Arvada, Colorado; sisters; Myrna Campbell, Great Bend, Carolene Stutterheim, Phillipsburg, Shirley Stutterheim, Almena, and Lorraine Wells, Phillipsburg.
Elnor was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, and a sister Helen DeBoer. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Evangelical Covenant Church, Lindsborg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the church, Deaf Mission, or Brazil Christian Mission in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
