Virginia R. Rush, 88, was born March 30, 1926 in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of MC and Lela Retta (Bradbury) Jarvis. She passed away October 25, 2014 at the The Cedars of McPherson, Kansas.
She was married to Demmon "Bix" Rush on April 1, 1944 at Lyons, KS. They lived in the Geneseo and Marquette area until 1999. He passed away on December 14. 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, 2 infant children, 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Virginia leaves behind many loved ones, including Gloria (Allan) Woodmore, Floyd (Carol) Rush, Bonnie (Ivan) Husa, Linda Rush, LaVonne (Dean) Nau, Doris Wetzel, Dolores (Wayne) Wetzel, Deryl (Pat) Rush, and Carol Freund; 28 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 28, from 5-7 pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at Wheatland Baptist Church in McPherson with lunch following. Burial will be held at the Geneseo Cemetery, Geneseo, KS.
Memorials may be designated for the church, The Cedars of McPherson, or Reno Co. Hospice in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
