Helen L. Spohn, 94, of Marquette, passed away October 17, 2014.
She was born March 5, 1920, in Conway, the daughter of Gus and Tina (Johnson) Anderson. On October 4, 1940, in Hutchinson, she was married to Leo Spohn. He passed away on March 13, 1985.
She was also preceded in death by 5 brothers, Walter, Edwin, Lawrence, Clarence, Glenford, 3 sisters, Pearl, Ruth, Mildred and one great, great grandson.
Helen leaves behind many loved ones, including 5 sons, Lawrence(Saundra) of Marquette, Ross(Effie) of Wamego, Cary(Pauline) of Castle Rock, CO, Raymond of Daytona, FL, and Doyle(Pat) of Holton. 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 23 great, great, grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday October 21st, at the Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette. Private family burial will be held later at the Marquette Cemetery.
Memorials may be designated for the Smoky Valley Saddle Club and the Marquette Public Library in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
