Ireta Margaret (Young) Swenson, Lindsborg, passed away July 1, 2014 at
Bethany Home. She was born October 6, 1917, the daughter of Jim and Margaret (Kuhns) Young in Assaria, Kansas.
She married Lloyd Swenson in 1937. He preceded her in death. Survivors: sons, Lavern (Carolyn) Swenson, Haysville, Leland (Genie) Swenson, Lindsborg, Carroll (Christine) Swenson, Hampton, New Jersey, and daughter, Kathy (Neil) Dunn, Vernon, BC, Canada; thirteen grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and sister Veda Pihl, Salina.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Christians Funeral Home.
There will be a private burial at Salemsborg Cemetery with services following at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Lindsborg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother Merle Young.
Memorials may be designated to the church in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
