Steven Wayne Core, 59, of McPherson, passed away November 15, 2013.
He was born December 18, 1953, the son of Jay W. Core and Wilma Clark in Emporia, KS.
On November 22, 2003, Steve was united in marriage to Resa (Becker) Larson in Marquette, KS.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Clark, and daughter, Kara Core.
Steve leaves behind many loved ones including his wife, Resa of McPherson, father, Jay Core (Wanda) of Topeka, brothers: Scott Core (Tammy) of Wilsey, KS, Jay Core (Patricia) of Lincoln, KS, step-son, Steve Larson (Rinthida) of Strasburg, VA, step-daughters: Carrie Gibson (Chad) of Hutchinson, Angela Larson of Little River, step-sisters: Juanita Dolsky (Mark) of Topeka, Linda Carreno of Topeka, Connie Hartford of Topeka, Tracy Burnett of Council Grove, three step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 26, at Wheatland Baptist Church, McPherson.
Memorials may be designated for the church, McPherson SOS, or McPherson Food Bank in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
