Wilma Dean Oakley, 78, of Lindsborg, passed away November 2, 2013.
She was born November 2, 1935, the daughter of Elmer Moses and Lucille Ellen (Wilkerson) Calahan in Palmer, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale Oakley, three brothers, and 3 sisters.
Wilma leaves behind many loved ones including two sons: Ronald Dean Hughes (Barbara) of Commerce City, CO, Donald F.G. Hughes of Lindsborg, daughter, Michelle Renee Hughes (C.J. Smith) of Lindsborg. Also, lifetime partner, William Hobaugh of Lindsborg, brothers: Jack Calahan (Ginny) of Buckner, MO, Bobby Calahan (Rhonda) of Bethany, OK, sisters: Goldie Helms of O'Fallon, MO, Ruth Shaw of Eloy, AZ, Linda Boerckel of Litchfield, IL, Lu Jacob of Lee's Summit, MO, Deborah Davis (Michael) of Fairview Heights, IL, Carolyn Nordeen (David) of Lindsborg, grandchildren, Melissa Franco, Montanna Hughes, step-grandsons: Robbie, Chris, and Rikki, five great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews, and her schnauzer, Punkin.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 5, from 4-7 pm with family present from 6-7pm at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, November 6, at First Baptist Church, Lindsborg, with burial following at Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg.
Memorials may be designated for the church or DVACK, Domestic Violence Association of Central Kansas, in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386, Lindsborg, KS 67456.
