Wallace N "Wally" Peterson, 91, of Lindsborg, passed away September 18, 2013.
He was born in New Gottland, Kansas, February 16, 1922, the son of William and Hilda Hansen Peterson. Wally was united in marriage to Dorothy Coleman on March 23, 1952 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Wally leaves behind many loved ones including his wife Dorothy of the home, as well as a son, Mike Peterson, daughters, Judy Rodine, Karen Kenny, Kristin Thomas, Susan Peterson, a sister Jeanette Hecker, Salina, and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Wally served in the navy, WWII, and was a member of the American Legion, McPherson Bass Club, and Lindsborg City Council.
Visitation will be Friday, September 20, from 4:00 - 7:00 with family present from 5:00 - 7:00 at Christians Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held September 21, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg.
Memorials can be given to Humane Society of McPherson or of your choice in care of Christians Funeral Home 103 N. Washington, PO Box 386 Lindsborg, KS 67456.
